RIES now open-source
Since the OpenASelect.org-website went into maintenance-state, there have been no means to download either the source code or the binary distribution of the 'OpenASelect'-application. Because Magic Choice has been developing and using OpenASelect in a multitude of projects, and is still using OpenASelect as Access Management layer for different types of solutions, the source code of OpenASelect and its modules are made available for download here.
In Oktober of this year we added the english version on the website of Magic Choice. It will increase the visibillity of Magic Choice.
In February 2009 Magic Choice new website was launched. The site's structure has been further improved and information can now be accessed more easily.
On Monday 30th June, State Secretary Tineke Huizinga (Ministery of Transport, Public Works and Water Managment) decided against allowing the use of internet voting in the 2008 national Water Board elections ( 13-25 November 2008). As a result, voters cannot vote by means of their private computers, but only through the traditional voting system. Read the full press release by the Union of Water Control Boards here.
On Tuesday 24th June, RIES “ the voting facility for the national Water Board elections in 2008 ” became open-source. Source codes and other documents are now available for everone and freely accessible through this website. This year, the Water Board elections are run by all 26 Water Boards collectively for this time.
